Faculty and Residents,
Attached, please find a flyer asking for submissions for the 2020 WV ACS Medical Student “Quick Shot” Oral Presentation and Poster Presentation Competitions. Yes, this year we have expanded to both oral and poster competitions! Submissions will be case reports. One case report from each Medical School/Campus in the state will be accepted (Marshall, WV Osteopathic, WVU Charleston, WVU Eastern, WVU Morgantown) for each presentation. The two highest-rated case reports from the Morgantown campus will be selected for the competitions. First place and runner-up awards and monetary gifts will be given for each competition.
The DUE DATE for submissions is midnight on Monday, February 10th, 2019. Late submissions will not be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE that I have strongly encouraged students to seek assistance with case selection and manuscript preparation from a surgical faculty mentor.
This information has been sent by myself to all medical students on the Morgantown Campus. Students at other campuses or institutions will hear from their own faculty in the coming days. If you know of interested students, please make sure to encourage their participation and help them prepare an abstract.
In addition, as we have each year, we shall select around 10 students to participate at this meeting free of charge, through the Richard A. Vaughan, MD, FACS Medical Student Scholarship.
