Annual Trauma Resident Competition
FRIDAY MORNING, MAY, 10TH

Residents or Fellows can submit work in either basic science or clinical research. The abstract must represent original work done by the contestant while a resident or fellow in an accredited residency in West Virginia. Principal author of the abstract must be the resident or fellow.

THE FIRST AUTHOR MUST PRESENT THE ABSTRACT AT THE WV ACS MEETING MAY 10th OR 11TH AT THE GREENBRIER. IF SHE/HE CANNOT PRESENT, THE ABSTRACT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE; ANOTHER ABSTRACT/RESIDENT WILL BE SELECTED.

For those who wish to submit via email, abstracts are limited to a single page, double spaced three hundred word abstract (this single page will include the title of the abstract and author. DO NOT INCLUDE THE INSTITUTION.) A separate cover
page should include the author’s identifying information. The submitted abstract must not have been presented or published prior, other than at the parent institution. Only one abstract may be submitted each year to EACH competition. The Trauma Competition will have 4 abstracts; the Surgery Competition 3 surgery and 3 cancer, total 6 abstracts for presentation.
